With so many different streaming platforms and cable offerings to navigate, choosing what to watch has never been harder. To make things easier, here are our best tune-in tips for the week ahead.

TUESDAY

The Future Of

This fascinating doc series looks into the future to see how every aspect of our daily lives will change with technology upgrades. Predictions will be offered about everything from apps to help us discuss things with our dogs to how artificial intelligence could impact dating apps, and the rising cost of cheeseburgers. Keep an eye out for the fashion episode, which will delve into how close we are to simply printing out what we want to wear at the click of a button. The first set of episodes drops Tuesday, but you will have to wait a week to see the rest.

The Umbrella Academy

After preventing doomsday, you can’t really blame “The Umbrella Academy” for wanting to celebrate in its third season. After all, the superpowered stepsiblings just stopped an apocalypse. But we can’t have another season without a new adversary. The Sparrow Academy presents a new set of problems for our heroes and a whole new world to deal with as they attempt to return things to the way they were.

Rhythm + Flow France

French rappers freestyle against each other in this imported reality series featuring a 100,000-euro prize for the grand champion. There has always been an appetite for a rap battle competition series — it is a hole in the reality space — and this is one of the first attempts to fill it.

Master Chef Junior

It’s the finale as chef Gordon Ramsay and his judges decide which kid cuisine creator reigns supreme to take home the $100,000 grand prize in the Season 8 ender.

FRIDAY

The Man From Toronto

Netflix’s latest movie is about a case of mistaken identity when a screw-up salesman is forced to team up with an assassin after the two are confused for one another at an Airbnb. It’s a star-studded cast with Kevin Hart as the salesman and Woody Harrelson as the assassin known as “The Man From Toronto.”

This movie documents the rise of the Antetokounmpo brothers and their journey to the NBA, including how Giannis (played by Uche Agada) and Thanasis (Ral Agada) learned about the game while their parents struggled to survive and provide for their children in Greece. After his abilities were finally discovered by an agent, Giannis entered the NBA Draft in 2013, going on to become the league MVP in 2019 and 2020. He also led the Milwaukee Bucks to their first championship.

This psychological thriller follows Becky Green (Erin Doherty), who is obsessed with stalking her childhood friend Chloe Fairbourne (Poppy Gilbert). Becky begins by tracking Chloe’s success on social media, growing increasingly jealous of her friend’s husband, friends and popularity. While the plot sounds predictable and very “Single White Female,” there are many twists in this one. A must see.

Man vs Bee

“Mr. Bean” takes on bees as Rowan Atkinson, playing a homeless man turned house-sitter, faces off against the insects in this comedy series.

This new comedy series stars “Saturday Night Live” alum Maya Rudolph as Molly Novak, a wife with it all. She has private jets, an enormous mansion and a “gigayacht,” but that’s before her husband betrays her. This leads our protagonist into a journey of philanthropy and self-discovery as Molly wants to give back to others to find herself again.

The One That Got Away

This new reality series gives six singles a chance to look back before they can move forward in their quest for love. Been there, done that, right? wrong A twist allows the contestants to explore missed connections as people from their past enter through “The Portal” to see if there is still a spark that can be lit. Singer Betty Who hosts.

Money Heist: Korea — Joint Economic Area

For those still lamenting the loss of “Money Heist” (the Spanish crime drama that ended its run last year), a spinoff is finally here. This South Korean version features a hostage crisis situation that also involves a strategist in charge of a group of criminals with varying skill sets. The best part is that these robbers are inspired by their Spanish counterparts.

If you ever felt like a show was smarter than you, “Westworld” might be it. While the twists and turns on the drama about the dawn of artificial consciousness and new life on Earth was fantastic in its first season, the plot lines have become increasingly perplexing. That said, the Emmy-winning series is still marked on many calendars. Let’s just hope you don’t need to set aside too much time dissecting every episode in this fourth season.
